| Located in Northwest Alabama, two miles west of Rogersville, off U.S. Highway 72. The Park is approximately 50 miles west of Huntsville, Alabama & 27 miles east of Florence, Alabama. Interstate 65 & Athens, Alabama are 22 miles east of the park.
Large level sites among towering pines. We have 116 campsites in our improved campground. 110 sites have full hook-ups, which includes H2O, electric & sewage hook-ups. Joe Wheeler also has a primitive campground for those who prefer a little more “roughing it”. These guests however do have access to use the bathhouse located in the adjacent C loop of the campground. These sites do not have electrical hook-ups, but H2O hydrants are located in this area.
