| Description: This major tributary of California's Klamath River is located in heavily forested, mountainous terrain. The Trinity is noted for its salmon & steelhead fishery resources as well as its attraction to rafters, kayakers & canoers. The upper reaches are Class IV-V whitewater, but the lower reaches are class II-III.
Location: The designated section includes the river from the confluence with the Klamath to 100 yards below the Lewiston Dam, the North & South Forks of the Trinity & the New River.
