| Description: 13 campsites along a small mountain stream, set in a glen-like grove of large Douglas fir trees. Most sites are shaded, with a few sunny spots. Hiking & horse riding on the Chemise Trail & in the Chemise Mountain Primitive Area.
Shelter Cove & the Pacific Ocean are about 15 minutes from the site. Surfing, boat ramps, & fishing are available here.
Location: From US 101 exit for Redway or Garberville, follow signs to Shelter Cove & the King Range NCA. Once in Redway, take Shelter Cove Road 22 miles to Chemise Mountain Road. South on Chemise Mountain Road for 1.7 miles.
