Del Yermo is located in Calipatria, Ca., a small town in southern California, south of Palm Springs, between San Diego & Yuma, Az We are seven miles south of the Salton Sea, 20 minutes from the sand dunes & 35 miles from Mexico. The immediate area is rich in gems & minerals for the serious & not so serious rock hounds. The surrounding desert offers many activities from gold panning to hiking to four wheeling & camping. Bird watching is a popular winter activity. Nearby is the Finney-Ramer & Wister Wildlife refuges.
