| Description: 4800-foot elevation. 17 campsites & seven double sites, which can accomodate up to 16 people each. A fenced pasture is available for campers with horses. Trails lead into the in the Redwood Mountain/Whitaker Foerst grove of giant sequoias. This campground is within the Giant Sequoia National Monument. Trails in the monument, open to hikers, horses, & bikes (outside the wilderness areas), wind through giant sequoia groves, up mountains, & alongside wild rivers.
Location: From Visalia, take CA 198 to CA 245 & go north to Badger. Turn north on Hogback Road, then about eight miles north on Whitaker Forest Road (County Road 465).
