Campground: Hume Lake Ranger District, Sequoia National Forest, Stony Creek Campground

Description: 6400-foot elevation. 49 campsites, including some tent-only sites. Hiking in the Jennie Lakes Wilderness & mountain biking outside the wilderness. This campground is within the Giant Sequoia National Monument. Trails in the monument, open to hikers, horses, & bikes (outside the wilderness areas), wind through giant sequoia groves, up mountains, & alongside wild rivers. Location: From Grant Grove, go 14 miles southeast on the General's Highway. Season: May - September. Available: Biking Picnicking Hiking/Backpacking Camping Wildlife Viewing Drinking Water RVSites Restrooms Campgnd, Developed Showers. Notes: Maximum RV length 25 feet. Reservations must be made at least three days in advance.Special food storage rule in effect because this is black bear country! Check current fire restrictions before venturing out.
