Description: 3600-foot elevation. 12 campsites near the border of the Sespe Wilderness. Location: From Taft, go eight miles south on CA 33, & continue 13 miles south on CA 33/CA 166. Turn south to stay on CA 33 & go 20 miles, then 1.5 miles east on Lockwood Valley Road. Season: year round. Fee: Adventure Pass required. Reservations: NO. Available: Hunting Camping Wildlife Viewing Hiking/Backpacking RV Sites Campgnd, Primitive Restrooms. Notes: Maximum RV length 16 feet. Adventure Pass required to park anywhere in the Mount Pinos Ranger District. Any kind of open flame use, including use of camp stoves or smoking, requires a free Campfire Permit from the ranger station.
