| Description: nine accessible campsites in the Rose Valley Recreation Area. Rose Valley Falls Trail, Rose-Lion Connector Trail & Nordhoff Ridge Road offer trail opportunities for hikers, mountain bikers & horseback riders. Gated access to Nordhoff Ridge Road (4 wheel drive road) available by free permit from Ojai Ranger Station; maximum of 20 vehicles per day. Fishing for stocked trout in Upper & Lower Rose Lakes, both nearby. No fires allowed at the lakes. The half-mile Rose Valley Falls Trail begins in the southwest section of the campground. Please, for your safety DO NOT climb the cliffs. They are made of sandstone & crumble easily.
Location: From Ojai, go 15 miles north on CA 33, turn right & go three miles on Sespe Road, then right onto Chief Peak Road.
Season: April - November.

RV Sites Restrooms. Notes: Maximum RV length 30 feet. Road closed when wet. Adventure Pass required to park anywhere in the Ojai Ranger District. Any kind of open flame use, including use of camp stoves or smoking, requires a free Campfire Permit from the ranger station. |
