Description: 4900-foot elevation. 20 campsites on Palomar Mountain. The Palomar Observatory visitor center is nearby. Location: From Warner Springs, go south on CA 79, then 13 miles northwest CA 76, then north on County Road S6. Travel north on S6 to the campground. Season: year round Reservations: NO Picnicking Hiking/Backpacking Camping Wildlife Viewing Drinking Water RV Sites Restrooms Notes: 15-foot maximum RV length (no trailers). No wood or charcoal fires allowed in the forest; only fuel-fed stoves & lanterns permitted. Adventure Pass required to park elsewhere in the forest.
