| Description: Cuyamaca Rancho State Park offers an oasis of beautiful pine & oak forests, broad meadows, & little streams. From Cuyamaca Peak, at the height of the Peninsular Range, you can see from the ocean deep into the desert. 25,000 acres of park contains over 100 miles of trails, developed camping, & exhibits in the park museum & at the historic Stonewall Mine site, which tell the stories of the original inhabitants & of the the gold rush.
Location: From San Diego, go 40 miles east on I- 8, then five miles north on Highway 79.
