Campground: Santa Barbara Ranger District, Los Padres National Forest, Sage Hill Campground

Description: five group campsites in Lower Santa Ynez Recreation Area. Four sites can accomodate 50 people each, & the horse site can accomodate up to 60, & has corrals & hitching posts. Swimming holes along the river nearby. The Aliso nature trail begins at this campground. River access to the Santa Ynez River along the last six miles of Paradise Road. Trout planted in the river in springtime. Location: From Santa Barbara on US 101, go nine miles northwest on CA 154, five miles east on Paradise Road, then cross the river at the ranger station. Season: year round; may close in wet weather. Available: Biking Fishing Picnicking Hiking/Backpacking Horseback Riding Camping Wildlife Viewing Drinking Water RV Sites Restrooms.
