| Description: 7600-foot elevation. seven separate units cover rolling hills & river bottomlands. Wildlife includes: elk, deer, waterfowl, grouse, bear, & nongame.
The Beaver Creek unit has ten campsites for tents & RVs. Hunting for big game. Fishing for trout. The Byers Canyon unit has a rifle range designed for target practice & sighting firearms, but no camping. It is open from May to end of big game season. The Jenny Williams unit has hunting for big & small game. Winter range for deer & elk. No toilets. Lone Buck has hunting for waterfowl, big game & small game as well as excellent trout fishing. Camping allowed in designated areas. The Paul Gilbert Fishing Area is a wetlands which offers access to 1/4 mile of Colorado River. Excellent for trout fishing. Open from May - September. Pioneer Park also offers fishing access in the Colorado River. 20 campsites, drinking H2O available. State Ranch unit also has access to the Colorado River & to the Paul Gilbert SFA. This area is also a private residence.

Three miles west of Hot Sulphur Springs on U.S. 40, turn south at east end of Colorado River Bridge.
Byers Canyon Rifle Range
Four miles west of Hot Sulphur Springs, on the north side of US 40.
Jenny Williams
Three miles west of Hot Sulphur Springs on US 40, turn south at east end of Colorado River Bridge (County Road 50) & go about two miles.
Lone Buck
From Hot Sulfur Springs, go 3.5 miles west on US 40, on the south side of the highway.
Paul Gilbert Fishing Area
On US 40, three miles west of Hot Sulphur Springs, turn south at west end of Colorado River Bridge (see sign).
Pioneer Park
North & west of Hot Sulphur Springs on the edge of town, north side of the Colorado River.
State Ranch
Three miles west of Hot Sulphur Springs on US. 40, turn south at west end of Colorado River Bridge.
