| Description: The center of the monument is the Dinosaur Quarry near Jensen, UT, which holds 1500 bones. The visitor center tells the story of the dinosaurs which once roamed this area & also of the excavation for the bones. The monument contains over 200,000 additional acres, where visitors can hike, camp, amd emjoy the Colorado plateau scenery. The Yampa River & the Green River meet in an area called Echo Park, in Colorado. Both rivers are very popular with kayakers & whitewater rafters. River permits are available by lottery. Facilities outside the visitro center include numerous nature trails, picnic areas, & six campgrounds, with fees ranging from free - $12. There is one accessible campsite at the Green River campground, & an accessible nature trail at the Plug Hat picnic area.
Location: There is a visitor center in Dinosaur, & a scenic drive which accesses the park from north of Dinosaur.
