| Description: Only 30 miles from Denver, the 14,000 acres of Golden Gate Canyon State Park await you. Hike, picnic & camp among dense forest, rocky peaks & aspen-filled meadows. The mountain splendor of Golden Gate Canyon`s wildflower meadows, glorious autumn colors & spectacular view from the famous Panorama Point of over 100 miles of the Continental Divide make the park ideal for sightseers & photographers. Nearly 60 miles of mountain trails are open to hikers, bikers, & horse riders. Stream & pond fishing throughout the park. 155 campsites include developed, primitive, & backcountry sites; other facilities include cabin rentals, yurt rentals, group camping, & group picnicking. Winter activities include ice fishing, tubing, sledding, ice skating, cross country skiing.
Location: Take US 93 north from Golden one mile to Golden Gate Canyon Road. Turn left & continue for 13 miles to the park.
