| Description: An oasis on the plains, Bonny Lake State Park offers a welcome change from the rolling prairie & grasslands that surround the park. Nestled in the broad valley of the South Fork of the Republican River, Bonny Lake has colorful vistas in the fall & a variety of year-round recreational opportunities like camping, hunting, hiking, picnicking & wildlife viewing. Fishing is excellent on this 1,900 surface-acre reservoir for walleye, northern pike & a variety of bass. With seasonably warm waters, dependable winds & sandy beaches, this is the perfect destination for swimmers, water-skiers & windsurfers.
Four campgrounds with a total of 190 campsites. A group campground holds about 30 people.
Location: Take I-70 east to Burlington, then north 23 miles on US 385. Turn east on County Road two or three for 1.5 miles.
