Delightful Dunedin, Florida is one of the oldest cities on the West Coast of Florida, having been settled by Scottish immigrants. Citrus & lumber were the original cash crops but the Dunedin of today does not resemble a farming or lumbering community in the least. Downtown Dunedin has been restored to it's original lustre & is now a shopping & dining mecca. Dunedin RV Resort is just four miles from downtown Dunedin which can be reached by auto or bike on the Pinellas Trail. St Andrews links, a par three golf course, & Dunedin Country Club, the former home of the PGA, are just one mile from Dunedin RV Resort. Honeymoon & Caladesi State Parks are within the city limits of Dunedin & just three miles from Dunedin RV Resort. The beach on Caladesi is often named the first or second best beach in the country. The Toronto Blue Jays baseball team has a Spring training facility in Dunedin, playing their games at Knology Park in March, & their "A" Farm team plays here in the summer. Antique shopping is one of the most popular activities in downtown & our restaurants are well known throughout the area. Our weather is mild in the winter & yes, it does get warm in the summer, but the Gulf breezes tend to temper the hot sun & make outdoor activities enjoyable year around. If you are into H2O sports & beaches this is the place to be at any time of the year.
