Dunnellon is a small town right outside of Ocala. Although small, Dunnellon has several different things that you can do. We are conveniently located on both the Rainbow & Withlacoochee Rivers. This makes a perfect place for some of Dunnellon's campgrounds. Most of Dunnellon's campgrounds offers you full hook-up camping & even primitive camping. There are also several restaurants & three golf courses that you could visit. Dunnellon's campgrounds offers quiet & secluded camping away from noisy towns. Many campgrounds offer RV's or cabins to rent. This makes it easier for people without campers or tents. The forests provide primitive camping for tent people. Right in the center of Dunnellon, it is called The Greater Dunnellon Historical Society. In this section, there are houses that are more than 100 years old. Although old, each has been occupied for years. We also hold several yard sales in the heart of town twice a month. An old train depot is still up & standing which also hold yard sales the second Saturday of every month. There are several different churches that you could attend in Dunnellon for religions of choice. The Rainbow River State Park is located on the Outskirts of Dunnellon for canoe rental & swimming with trails overlooking four waterfalls. Although man made, they are extremely beautiful. Dunnellon also has several other swimming parks where you could float down the river on a hot day or play golf in the cool mornings. Dunnellon is definitely the place to go for camping.
