Campground: Bear Creek Campground- Targhee NF
Description: 5800-foot elevation. eight campsites on Bear Creek, just above an arm of Palisade Reservoir. A boat ramp is nearby, & there is fishing, boating, & other H2O sports in the reservoir. A trailhead from the campground follows Bear Creek into the mountains, branching off into various side canyons. Stock loading facilities are available for those who plan to travel the trail with their horses. Location: From Alpine Junction, WY, go north on US 26, then south on Forest Road 058 at the north end of the reservoir. Season: June - October. Fee: no. Reservations: NO.
