| Grand Detour Islands Retreat, Inc. the owner of the campgrounds has employed Willow Creek Realty, Ltd. as the managing agent of the campground & rental homes. Willow Creek Realty is a licensed Illinois real estate corporation who will provide guests with reservation & management services.
The campground will seek artists, teachers, & students to encourage artistic development. Historically, Grand Detour offered opportunities for art students to seek subjects for their work & this tradition shall continue. Current art students & teachers will enjoy significant discounts from the published rates for campground reservations not available to the general public. In addition, artist will have an opportunity to display their art on a website provided by the campgrounds. Each campsite will have wireless high speed internet capabilities late in 2008 to allow artists & photographers to upload their files to the campground website, or to their website or home page. Campsites which formerly occupied the points of islands are now being converted to common elements which will allow all visitors to enjoy the scenic vistas. |
