| The Oakes Motel & Campground has ten cozy stone cabins, sheltered among large oak trees. Built in 1928, these historic cabins have been restored to offer a comfortable place to stay on your visit to the Mammoth Cave area. If you're driving an RV, we can also accommodate you with full hookups in our campground. And finally, if you like to carry your "room" in a duffle bag, we have tent spaces. All our campsites have access to full restroom/bath facilities.
Our new bunk house perfect for families or groups.
Our cabins range in size from three rooms, complete with kitchen & room for six adults. We have a cabin with a nice kitchenette. And we have several cabins perfect for two people (great for honeymooners!). We have one cabin that will sleep four, but we don't have phones in the cabins (you're on vacation to get away from it all, right!?!). All cabins have air conditioning, microwave, refrigerator & DISH Network TV. We are open all year & we welcome your pets.
Are you traveling with a group? We now have a clean comfortable bunkhouse that sleeps up to nine people. Great for scout groups or families.
The Oakes is the closest lodging facility to Mammoth Cave National Park - less than ten minutes to the visitor center - but is also convenient to all the great activities available in Cave City. We're located four miles west of I-65 (Exit 53) on US Highway 70, which puts us just minutes from amusement parks, horseback riding, miniature golf, hiking, museums, & more. If you enjoy canoeing, visit nearby Mammoth Cave Canoe & Kayak company for a scenic trip on the Green River. We will even give you a discount coupon to Big Mike's Mystery House, (Historic Diamond Caverns), & other area attractions.
We know you'll be comfortable & we'll do all we can to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. Be sure to bring in our internet coupon for a discount on your stay with us. |
