| Founded in 1969 & encompassing 85 acres, Walker Island is unique among campgrounds. With two islands formed by Walker Brook, & an old granite railroad, all connected by two covered bridges in the foothills of the Berkshires, Walker Island creates a camping experience like no other.
On the main island are full hookup sites, our building with store, office, laundry, rec. hall & propane pump station as well as our pool. On the smaller island is the playground with swings, small mini golf, shuffle board, bocci & horseshoe pits. Remnants of the old railroad can still be seen as you make your way to our secluded tent sites on the hill or beside the brook. |
