Campground: Matson's Big Manistee River Campground
Located on the Big Manistee River & Borski Bayou, the campground & surrounding National Forest offer some of Michigan's best fishing, hunting, & camping. Walleye, pike, & bass fishing are excellent in the summer. Salmon start their run in the late summer peaking in the fall. The steelhead run starts in the early fall & continues through the winter well into spring, producing many daily limits.
