SWIMMING
Enjoy nature to its fullest with 135 acres nestled in the hills. Whippoorwill Lake Campground has over six miles of nature trails through cool woods filled with native wildlife like raccoon, deer & wild turkey. Swim in a beautiful 12-acre spring-fed lake & sunbathe on the clean, sandy beach. The beach is open for campers or day guests for a small admission.
FISHING
Fishing is great at Whippoorwill Lake! Fish for catfish, bass, crappie & blue gill in the fully stocked lake. Watch as owners John & Lorraine Hedges feed the fish - a daily event well worth watching as hungry fish come from nowhere to put on quite a show! There's even a Kiddie Fish Pond for kids age ten & under. Bring your boat (no motors, please) & spend a relaxing day fishing. |
