Campground: Hells Canyon Campground
Description: 11 campsites in Boulder Canyon between the Beartooth & Absaroka Ranges. Fishing for rainbow trout & Yellowstone cutthroat in nearby Boulder Creek. Trailheads with wilderness access are prolific to the north & to the south south of the campground. Trails to the east access the lovely Lake Plateau in the Beartooths, & trails to the west scale the West Boulder Plateau in the Absarokas. Mechanized vehicles are prohibited in the wilderness. Location: From Big Timber, go south 25 miles on MT 298 then south on County Road 212 16 miles. Season: year round. Fee: no. Reservations: NO.
