As if the waters of the glacial lake is not spectacle enough, it is framed by three awesome, snow-clad mountain ranges. Fishing for trophy lake trout, lake whitefish & yellow perch.
The Big Arm Unit is a the most popular departure point to Wild Horse Island. The long beach is popular with sunbathers & swimmers, while the 2.5 mile nature trail is a hit with bird watchers. 37 campsites, including 29 RV sites & six tent sites under a stand of mature ponderosa pine & juniper. A yurt is also available to rent.
Location: From Polson, go 14 miles north on US 93.
