| Description: Elevation 2895 feet. Flathead Lake is the largest natural freshwater lake west of the Mississippi River. As if the waters of the glacial lake is not spectacle enough, it is framed by three awesome, snow-clad mountain ranges. Fishing for trophy lake trout, lake whitefish & yellow perch.
The Finley Point Unit is tucked into a secluded, mature pine forest near the south end of Flathead Lake. This is the only state park with H2O & electrical hook-ups. A tribal fishing license is required as well as a state license.
Location: From Polson, go 11 miles north on MT-35, then four miles west on the county road.
Season: year round; campground open 5/1 - 9/30. |
