Campground: Copper Creek Campground

Description: 5260-foot elevation. 20 campsites along Copper Creek, across from Snowbank Lake. Trails from here go north & east into the Scapegoat Wilderness, or south & west into the forest. Hike to Indian Meadows, in the wilderness, or mountain bike down the dirt forest roads to Copper Creek, or even scale the heights of nearby Stonewall Mountain (8270 feet). Wilderness trails are for hikers & horse riders only; other forest trails are open to mountain bikes, but most are closed to ATVs & other motorized traffic. Fishing for cutthroat trout in Snowbank Lake, but motor boats are prohibited. Hand launch boats only; no ramp. Horse corrals are nearby for those packing into the Scapegoat Wilderness. Location: From Lincoln, go east about six miles on MT-200, then north about eight miles on Forest Road 330. Season: June 16 - September 15. Reservations: NO.
