Campground: Emerald Lake Campground
Description: 6180-foot elevation. 32 campsites above spectacular Emerald Lake. No motorized boating in the lake. Fishing for rainbow trout. Trail to Mystic Lake (about three miles) from the hydroelectric plant; this is a wilderness trail, & so mountain bikes or other vehicles are prohibited. Trail continues past Mystic Lake, deep into the Beartooth Mountains. Location: From Fishtail, go one mile west on NT-419, six miles southwest on County Road 425 (West Rosebud Road), then 12 miles south on Forest Road 2072. Season: May 27 - September 5. Reservations: NO.
