Campground: Fourth of July Campground
Description: 6400-foot elevation. five campsites on the Wise River. Fishing for mountain whitefish in the river. Trailhead nearby at Boulder Creek campground. In the vicinity are many historic attractions, like a narrow gauge railroad & the ghost town of Coolidge, as well as various other signs of the boom & bust brought on by the mineral resources in this forest. Location: 12 miles south of Wise River on Pioneer Scenic Byway (Forest Road 73). Season: June 15 - September 30. Reservations: NO.
