Campground: Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area
Description: 196,610-acres of dramatic sandstone cliffs & canyons. Good hiking, technical climbing & rock scrambling. Visitor Center also contains a bookstore & a desert tortoise exhibit. A 13 mile scenic drive loops around the area. A developed campground offers 55 developed sites, 24 walk-in sites & ten group sites. Location: West of Las Vegas. Take Charleston Blvd west to the recreation area. OR, from south Las Vegas Strip, take I-15 south to NV 160, then west to NV 159 north (Blue Diamond). Season: year round. Reservations: for group areas.
