Description: Visit the site of the huge (30 x 27) stone kilns, used to make charcoal for smelters. In a forested, riparian setting with views of the Steptoe Valley. Location: From Ely, go south on US 6-50-93 for five miles then 11 miles southwest on Cave Valley Road, a graded dirt road. Season: year round. Reservations: no.
