Eagle Nest, New Mexico is a small tourist village in the heart of the Moreno Valley in the high country of northern New Mexico. The elevation for Eagle Nest campgrounds is 8300 feet so you always need a jacket at nightwhen camping here. Eagle Nest campgrounds are located on the enchanted Circle, a 100 mile loop thru Eagle Nest, Red River, Taos,and Angel Fire. Eagle Nest Lake State Park is the center of the valley but there are no Eagle nest campgrounds in the state park but there are seven commerical parks in the community. Many people spend the summer months in Eagle Nest fishing, relaxing, hiking, & sightseeing.
