Campground: Elephant Butte Lake State Park
Description: 40-mile long reservoir is NM´s largest lake, a fishing, boating & other watersports heaven with extensive commercial facilities. Area is extremely crowded on all weekends from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Holiday weekends during the summer are a good time to look for alternative sites. Weekday use is low to moderate.
