| The campground occupies ten acres of beautiful high-desert country just two & one-half miles south of historic Taos Plaza. The park's spacious sites with natural vegetation yield a sense of privacy yet afford beautiful views in all directions. Lilacs, purple asters, prickly pear cactus, golden rabbitbush & sagebrush bloom in their respective seasons from spring through fall. Many birds frequent the park, among them several species of sparrows & finches, jays, black-billed magpies, common ravens, bushtits, chickadees, black-headed grosbeaks, western bluebirds & tanagers. |
