Campground: Gorges State Park
Primitive camping only. Western North Carolina, located in Transylvania County & joins the North Carolina/South Carolina state line. The park is approximately 45 miles southwest of Asheville, & the interim park office is located in the same building as the Sapphire Post Office at the intersection of US 64 & NC 281. Things to do: Camping, fishing & boating access, trails, picnicking.
