Oklahoma's oldest & largest state park, located on the shores of beautiful Lake Murray. Fishing, boating & all H2O sports are found at Lake Murray. Other activities include golfing, picnics, camping, horseback riding, hayrides, hiking, biking, roller blading, swimming, miniature golf & paddle boating. Sports facilities include an 18-hole golf course with a pro shop, tennis courts, softball fields, baseball diamond, horseshoe pits, badminton & volleyball nets. New & improved ATV area for 3/4 wheelers, motorcycles & dirt bikes. Other facilities found in the park include an airstrip, bait & tackle shop, marina with rentals & enclosed fishing dock, swimming pool with a changing house, swimming beach, riding stable, remote control air field for hobbyists, scuba outfitter, miniature golf course & frisbee golf. While visiting the park, be sure to check out the Tucker Tower Nature Center, a former summer retreat of Governor Murray that was built by the WPA on a bluff & looks much like a lighthouse. Today, local artifacts are housed there & nature programs & activities by the state park naturalist are conducted. Hickory Creek area has good opportunities for fall foliage viewing. Numerous RV campsites & tent camping areas are located throughout the park. Lake Murray Resort is also on site & offers guest rooms & suites, cabins, meeting space, The Apple Bin restaurant, & the Parlor. For lodge room or cabin information, call 800-257-0322. A fee of $3 per vehicle per day applies to day-use visitors at the Elephant Rock area (fee is waived if camping in this area).
