| Description: This road loops through an area of Oregon which was one of the first to see steady traffic from American emigrants. Baker City was an important stop on the Oregon Trail, the ensuing gold rush swelled the population, then logging created a permanent industry. From Baker City, the road goes north along the forest edge, then climbs up into the Blue Mountains.
Location: From Baker City, go north on US 30, northwest on county roads, west on Forest Road 73, & east on OR 7.
