Description: 4450-foot elevation. 146 campsites, including six tent-only sites, on the east shore of Crane Prairie Reservoir. Fishing is excellent for big, fat, rainbow trout, as well as brook trout, mountain whitefish, kokanee salmon, largemouth bass, black crappie & bluegill . Watch for the osprey, bald eagles, & waterfowl who frequent the area. Location: From Bend, go about 27 miles south on US 97, 11 miles west on County Road 43, 5.5 miles west on Forest Road 42, then four miles north on FR 4270. Season: May - October. Reservations: NO.
