Campground: Bend-Fort Rock Ranger District, Deschutes National Forest, Deschutes Bridge Campground

Description: 4650-foot elevation. 12 campsites on the upper Deschutes River, near the headwaters in Little Lava Lake. Fishing in the river for rainbow trout, brook trout, kokanee salmon, steelhead, & whitefish. Birdwatching is good for seasonal waterfowl, eagles, & osprey. In the winter, this is a center for cross-country skiing & for snowmobiling, from the sno-park. Please note snowmobile restrictions after February 15, south of Crane Prairie Reservoir. Location: From Bend, go about 41 miles southwest on County Road 46 (Cascade Lakes Highway). Season: May - October. Reservations: NO.
