Description: 1700-foot elevation. 11 campsites, including two double sites, on a terrace above Layng Creek. There is a large, accessible, picnic area, open to groups, which encircles an open grassy field used for ball games & horseshoes. A trail from the campground follows Layng Creek through a beautiful forest with a lush swordfern understory. Location: From I-5 at Cottage Grove, take exit 174, then go 19 miles east on Row River Road (County Road 2400),and two miles northeast on Forest Road 17. Season: May 25 - September 30. Reservations: NO.
