Campground: Lava Flow Campground

Description: 4400-foot elevation. 12 campsites on Davis Lake. Fly fishing only for rainbow trout & largemouth bass, either in Davis Lake or in Odell Creek, which feeds the lake. Davis Lake was formed when a lava flow blocked Odell Creek, which you can still see just north of the campground. A trail passes around the west shore of the lake, & crosses west to Odell Lake at the south end, & west to Waldo Lake on the north end. In the winter, this is part of a popular 49 mile snowmobile trail. Location: From Crescent, go about nine miles west on County Road 61, eight miles north on Forest Road 46, then two miles north on FR 4600-850. Season: September - December. Fee: no.
