| Description: 5600-foot elevation. three campsites on Summit Lake, in the Oregon Cascades Recreation Area. The Pacific Crest National Scenic Trail runs north & south by the west shore of the lake, & can be hiked north into the Diamond Peak Wilderness, to Diamond Peak. Another trail runs south from the eastern shore, leading south to several backcountry lakes in the middle of the recreation area. Fishing, sailing, & canoeing in the lake. Mosquitos can be very bad at the campground, particularly in late summer.
Location: From Crescent, go about 12 miles west on County Road 61, 3.5 miles north on OR 58, seven miles west on Forest Road 60, then 6.5 miles west on FR 6010.
