| Description: Clay Creek Campground contains 21 tent sites, & two group picnic shelters for up to 60 people. The shelters have a central fireplace. A softball field separates the shelters. Other facilities include a swimming beach, changing rooms, horseshoe pits & playground. The trailhead for the Clay Creek trail is across the Siuslaw River bridge.
Put-ins for the river downstream, along the Siuslaw River Road. No permit required to paddle the 6.5 mile river, with Class II - III rapids. Fishing for chinook salmon & steelhead in season, for all other fish the rest of the year. Catch & release on the anadromous species, except for fish with clipped adipose fins.
Location: From Eugene, go 52 miles west on OR 126, then 16 miles southeast on the Siuslaw River Road.
Season: May 15 - November 30.
