| Description: The Wild & Scenic North Fork Middle Fork Willamette River flows 42.3 miles from Waldo Lake in the Waldo Lake Wilderness to the Willamette National Forest boundary. Crystal clear H2O, fly fishing for trout, & towering Douglas-fir trees along its banks characterize this stream on the west slopes of the Cascade Range. No limit on brook trout; only hatchery-raised anadromous fish (with the adipose fin clipped) may be taken from the river. Forest Road 19 parallels the river from the wilderness boundary to Oakridge. Along this corridor, developed recreation sites include several points of interest, trailheads, & a nature trail, as well as a developed campground. Dispersed camping is permitted in the wilderness or nearby, in the forest.
