Campground: North Umpqua Ranger District, Umpqua National Forest, Hemlock Lake Campground

Description: 4400-foot elevation. 13 campsites, including three tent-only sites & one double site, on Hemlock Lake. The reservoir is 33 feet at its deepest point, & no motorized boating is permitted here. Fishing for rainbow trout & kokanee salmon. There is a boat launch at nearby Hemlock Meadows Campground. Scenic hiking trails in the area include a one-mile loop trail around the lake & a longer loop trail which connects with the trail to the top of Flat Rock Mountain. The 7-mile round trip passes through high elevation timber & alpine meadows filled with springtime wildflowers. Location: From Roseburg, go about 16 miles east on OR 138, & 32 miles southeast on Little River Road (County Road 17). Season: June one to October 31. Reservations: NO.
