Campground: Steamboat Falls Campground
Description: 1195-foot elevation. ten campsites, including three tent-only sites, on Steamboat Creek. Steamboat Creek is closed to fishing, but in the summer months, you can often see gigantic steelhead leaping out of the H2O on their way to the spawning grounds. Be careful about wading in the river & inadvertently stepping on fish spawning gravel from September - June. Location: From Roseburg, go 39 miles east on OR 138, then .25 mile north on Forest Road 38. Season: May 20 - October 15. Reservations: NO.
