| Description: The designated Wild & Scenic Elk River runs from the falls on the North Fork 19 miles down the Coast Range, past the Grassy Knob Wilderness, to Anvil Creek. The upper two miles, on the North Fork, are considered wild river, & the rest is considered recreational. The Elk River drainage is highly valued for its old-growth forests, fish populations, wildlife, excellent H2O quality, & scenery. Location: From Port Orford, go north three miles on US 101, then east on County Road 208 & Forest Road 5325. Developed recreation sites are between 6-20 miles to the east.
