Campground: Diamond Lake Ranger District, Umpqua National Forest, Diamond Lake Campground

Description: 5190-foot elevation. 238 campsites, including several double sites, on the east shore of Diamond Lake, with views of Mount Bailey. A huge day use area is available on the south shore, which offers group picnic tables, a lighted pavilion, horseshoe pits, a volleyball court, a swimming beach, & a playground. In the winter, snowcat skiing is offered for small groups on Mount Bailey. Several trails are open to cross-country skiing. Location: From Roseburg, go 80 miles east on OR 138, 0.5 mile south on Forest Road 4795 (Diamond Lake Loop), then 2.5 miles around the loop. Season: May 15 - October 31. Available: Biking Fishing Picnicking Boating (Motorized) Hiking/Backpacking Scenic Driving Boating (Non-motorized) Winter & Water Sports Camping Wildlife Viewing Visitor Center Interpretive Programs Drinking Water RV Sites Restrooms Boat Ramp Campgnd, Developed Showers. Notes: Maximum allowable RV length is 35 feet, maximum trailer length is 30 feet. Lakeside campsites are $5 extra. Full service resort on the lake has a restaurant, grocery, sporting goods shop & rentals, laundromat, etc.
