| Description: 4500-foot elevation. four campsites, including two tent-only sites, on Beaver Dam Creek. A hiking trail leads up the creek, where you can see the namesake beaver dams, & possibly even some beavers. Fishing in the creek. Wildflower displays in the area are usually spectacular.
Location: From Ashland, go 22 miles east on Dead Indian Memorial Highway, then one mile north on Forest Road 37.
Season: May seven - November 15.
Fee: no; voluntary $3 donation.
