| Description: Blue Mountain RV park is on a high mountain plateau where grassy meadows alternate with lodgepole pine & western larch. seven sites for RVs or camper trailers. Available sites have running H2O, firerings, & electric hookups. No dump station onsite.
The facility is reconstructed from an old trailer park from Blue Mountain Ranger Station ( now Blue Mountain Work Center). The campground is still under construction.
Location: From John Day, go 28 miles east on US 26 past Austin Junction, then north onto Forest Road 101 to the park.
Season: year round.
Fee: yes.
Available: Picnicking Drinking Water RV Sites Restrooms Electric Hookup.
Notes: The Middle Fork John Day River is closed to fishing from OR seven to Summit Creek. |
